Blameless living safeguards your life, and transparency brings peace.
Every choice for good makes way for good opportunities. Evil choices follow the same pattern but in the opposite direction.
That little white lie that you thought would bring peace, or help you through a difficult situation, just like a tiny acorn grows into a mighty oak tree, so your little white lie will grow bigger and bigger until it explodes in your face.
Their will always be consequences for our actions, both good and evil, the devil is never far away looking for opportunities to tempt and crush.
Therefore,”Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
I Peter 5:8 NKJV
That little white lie, or harmless sin that must be ok because everyone is doing it, separates us from God and you become easy prey to the devil. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
My brethren, if you keep blowing hot air into a balloon, it will eventually burst and expose the truth. Light always shines in through the darkness (JOHN 1:5), and will always expose the truth and overthrow the sinner; hopefully bringing him to repentance.
But the truth is, prevention is always better than cure. If you stand in obedience on the truth however painful that might be, you shall have peace.
But even then my beloved, we are all to face troubles, James said when not if (JAMES 1:2).
God allows them to build our faith, “knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
James 1:3-4 NKJV
Even Job, a blameless man who was close to God and had a blessed life faced extreme troubles at the hands of the devil (JOB 1:1-5)
Satan attacked his character (JOB1:6-12), and his health (JOB 2:1-20).
He lost his property and his children (JOB 1:13-22).
The attacks on Job were barbaric, and God allowed them to test and build him more.
We are tested to prove our progress and blameless position, just as children are tested in school before they can move to the next level. Not because we deserve the pain, but because it's the only way to learn and grow.
No matter how self righteous one may see himself, we are all sinners in need of a Saviour, including Job.
If we say, “I never sinned”, we are calling God a liar (1 JOHN 1:8-10).
We inherited a sinful nature when Adam and Eve fell to sin, and that nature needs to die, so that we can put on the nature of Christ.
God uses troubles to build and bring the change needed, and then tests us.
The devil is always ready and willing to bring those troubles to God’s people, he just needs a little crack in the door and he will get in.
Therefore, “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
I Peter 5:9-11 NKJV
Each decision one makes in obedience to God’s word will bring a greater sense of order and peace to his life; while every decision one make in disobedience will bring anxiety, confusion, and destruction.
The right choices you make in obedience to God’s word reflect your integrity; obedience brings the greatest safeguard and security.
The sinner hides the truth, but the
blameless are transparent, and transparency brings peace.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
