JOHN 11:25-27
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Jesus has power over life and death. Having died on a cross to pay our debt of sin, on the third day He was risen! He defeated death forever.
Paul said, “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.”
I Corinthians 15:1-8 NKJV
Jesus died on a cross for our sins; He was the Lamb that was slain (REVELATION 5:12), and on the third day He was risen; witnessed by over five hundred who were alive at that time.
Therefore, neither the death of Jesus nor His resurrection can be challenged.
“Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
Matthew 28:1-6 NKJV
Jesus wasn’t there, the stone was rolled away, and Jesus had left the tomb.
Jesus, as well as having the power to forgive us of our sins because He paid our debt, overcome the grave; giving all who believe on Him the opportunity of resurrection life.
This is because He is the Creator of life and He who is life, who created life, can surely restore life.
Whoever believes in Christ has life that death cannot conquer or diminish in any way.
When we realise His power and how truly wonderful His gift of life really is, how can we not commit our lives to him?
To us that believe, we have absolute assurance and certainty of salvation, eternal life in paradise.
Martha is best known for being too busy to sit down and talk with Jesus (LUKE 10:38-42). But here she showed herself as a woman of deep faith. Her statement of faith is the exact response Jesus wants from us today.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
