Appreciating in this life that our days are short, they are truly numbered and we really don’t know which will be our last, gives us the desire to make good use of each and every one them.
Take the time to number your days, ask God to give you wisdom.
Psalm 90 was Moses prayer; for he had come to understand the eternity of God and the frailty of man. He never put off until tomorrow that could be done today. Since life is so short, make Psalm 90 our prayer and never put off until tomorrow that can be done today.
My beloved, God gave You life to serve, to bring many to the Jesus through the five fold ministry of Christ.
“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.“
Ephesians 4:7-16 NKJV
Furthermore, He gifted each of His members with spiritual gifts. ”There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.“
I Corinthians 12:4-14 NKJV
We believers are one body in Christ of which He is the head.
The church was never meant to operate through one pastor, vicar, or minister, but through the whole body by the leading of the head and every individual part is directed and must be obedient to head.
No way in any body does the leg direct the foot, or hand instruct the leg; for the whole body is directed from and through the head and is answerable to the head. “If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.“
I Corinthians 12:15-31 NKJV
This is the church of Jesus Christ, and today Jesus is exercising His authority and establishing His church, His way for His time has come and as in His first miracle, the new wine is being poured into His new wine skins, those specially prepared believers for such a time as this (JOHN 2:1-11).
We are today in the biggest transformation period in church in history.
God is today, dismantling the old church system and building the new as was originally planned.
Jesus said, “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.“
Luke 5:36-38 NKJV
My beloved, with new wine, comes new powers and new freedoms, for the kingdom is here, but for that to be established, we must walk in the new.
Jesus said, ”“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.“
John 14:12-14 NKJV
But sadly many church leaders are trying to hold onto the old, for they say, ”no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ”“
Luke 5:39 NKJV
But I am here to tell you, Jesus saved the best until last (JOHN 2:10).
My beloved, it’s time to let go of the old and embrace the new; to let go of the reins and give them to Jesus.
The leadership of the Pharisees is passing away, and with it, man’s old church.
Now is the time of the five fold ministry of Christ, and the whole congregation are to be apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, and evangelist, and Christ is the only head. But if the whole body is to function properly, tven the whole body must participate in unity with the rest.
But life is about balance, work, rest, and play.
Therefore, live life to the full, earn a living, serve God, and make time for fun and family. But remember the Lord is watching.
Do not allow Your passions and pride destroy your eternal future, put your life into order.
“Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it, ” When you have it with you. Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety’s sake. Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm. Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel is with the upright. The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just. Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble. The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.”
Proverbs 3:25-35 NKJV
Again I tell you, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
