1 TIMOTHY 4:6-11
“If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach.
”I Timothy 4:6-11 NKJV

In society today, their is much emphasis on physical fitness. It’s easy to understand the importance of keeping our physical bodies in good shape. But our spiritual health is far more important.
Our physical health is susceptible to disease and injury, but our faith can sustain us through any tragedy and is the path to life everlasting.
To train ourselves to be godly, we must develop our faith by taking in healthy spiritual food and nourishment every day, and by using our God-given abilities in the service of the church (see 4:14-16).
To grow spiritually you need to read your bibles, study the Scriptures and meditate on them daily. Assemble with other believers in worship regularly.
It is also important to join a study group, where you can look and discuss Scripture in fine detail. But unless you put into practice what you learn, you are only fooling yourselves, and simply wasting your time.
Jesus Christ is the Saviour for all, but His salvation becomes effective only when you cooperate with Him and put your trust in Him (see ROMANS 12:1-2).
“Old wives fables (tales)” is a supposed truth that not only is a lie, but is actually passed down through the generations. Such tales can come through superstition, folklore, and unverified or exaggerated claims of doctrines.
These lies are nothing less than strong holds of the mind and can be passed on to others including our children; hence they are generational and curse those who live by them; curses that can completely destroy lives.
These curses can bring poverty, sickness, both physically and mentally; anxiety/ depression, and even suicide; they can inhibit conception and bring what many see as “bad luck.”
My brethren, there’s no such thing as “bad luck,” everything that happens has a source, both good and evil; It can be human achievement or failures, or godly or demonic influence. But there will always be consequences of our actions, good and evil.
Sin separates us from God, opens the door to the devil and lets him in, not only into your life, but also the generations to come.
But the Good News is, God is faithful to forgive and deliverer (JEOL 2:36) and uses our troubles to build and teach us (JAMES 1-2-4).
Therefore, my “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;”
I Peter 4:12 NKJV
Does your life seem to be going round and round in circles, like are you facing the same old financial problems, problems in marriage, health problems, or finding it difficult to conceive, or seem to be accident prone or have any issues that repeat and repeat.
Even cancers can come as a result of curses or demonic influence.
The devil has many ways of getting into our lives; sin, false religion, lies, witchcraft, objects such as ornaments if the devil owns them or they are too important to you. He uses ungodly soul ties and strong holds of the mind to manipulate and control.
Maybe through no fault of your own, some areas of your life have been cursed or you have become or are already demonised.
But I assure you, demons can be expelled and curses can be broken; strong holds can be torn out, and ungodly soul ties can be cut; we believers have authority over the demonic (LUKE 10:17) and He in us, is by far, more powerful than any demonic force. Furthermore, physical healing usually follows when deliverance is achieved or the curse has been broken.
The truth is, deliverance is key to a changed life and comes only through Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV
If this post relates to you, whilst it is possible to deliver one’s self through Christ, it is very difficult; therefore, get yourself to a “Born Again” ministry operating in deliverance and get set free.
Remove the sin, the lie or object, or whatever is holding you, for nothing will change until you do.
“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.“
James 4:7 NKJV
Break the curses, remove strong holds. Cut the ungodly souls ties and expelle the demonic.
Send fear to hell, and shame can go there too, along with all poverty, depression, addiction, broken marriages, and all the torment the devil brings.
Jesus is the only truth, and the truth will set you free.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
