PROVERBS 18:20-21
“A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
”Proverbs 18:20-21 NKJV

God created heaven and earth with His word; He simply commanded His creation to be with one verse and it was done; hence the “universe” was born.
God created us humans in His own image, and since we are His children, what we say has great power too.
If we speak negativity, we will reap negativity, if we speak positivity we will reap positivity. It’s simple, we reap what we sow (GALATIANS 6:7-9).
Speaking negativity is cursing yourself or others and is nothing less than witchcraft. What passes our lips satisfies our stomach; inner satisfaction comes from true and good speech.
“Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.”
James 3:5-10 NKJV
What you say can destroy or bless yourself and others. Therefore, do not underestimate the power of your tongue; keep it on a short leash.
The truth is, one cannot control his or her own tongue in one’s own strength; we need the help of the Holy Spirit within us along with a very disciplined attitude, for no man can tame the tongue.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
