How Precious To Me Are Your Thoughts Oh God, How Vast Is The Sum Of Them; If I Would Count Them, They Are More Than The Sand. I Awake And I Am Still With You

I Am A Child Of God

PSALM 139:13-24
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men. For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

God created each and every one of us to be unique, special in our own way, and fully loaded with both physical and spiritual gifts (1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10).
Furthermore, His character goes into the creation of every one of us.
When you feel worthless or useless, remember that God's Spirit is ready and willing to work within you, to empower you to do His will (PHILIPPIANS 2:13), change the way you think from within, and transform you into the person he originally created you to be, and that you can come to understand what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
He created you beautiful and perfect, from the inside out and said that “you are very good (GENESIS 1:31).”
Surely, it’s God’s opinion that counts. To not agree with Him in any way, shape or form is sinful in itself. He is always right.
The truth is, we should have as much respect for ourselves as does our maker; He made you perfect, and will restore you back to perfection when you submit your life to Him.
It was sin that corrupted us and brought upon death.
The devil uses sin to justify sickness, pain, sorrow, and even death ;he came to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. But Jesus came that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
Jesus paid your debt of sin with His own blood. “He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
On the cross, “Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭19‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Therefore the work is done, it’s finished.
Stop listening to the whispers of the devil; he is quick to remind you of your past failings. Stop dwelling on what you cannot change and focus on Jesus; your shame has gone and even your impossible situations have become possible with God (LUKE 18:27; MATHEW 19:26).
Therefore , quit feeling sorry for yourselves, when the devil comes to remind you of your past, remind him of his future.
If you want change-if you really want to stop going round and round the same old, commit to God, and allow the Holy Spirit to start his work within you.
Allow Him to heal you and remove the shame and give you peace.
James said, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
That is to say, submit your whole self to God in repentance, physically call the devil out and command him to leave, and he shall flee from you.
God loves you, his thoughts about you outnumber all the grains of sand around the world, and He shall never leave you.
Instead of feeling useless, put your trust in God to bring change.
David's hatred for his enemies came from his zeal for God.
David regarded his enemies as God's enemies, so his hatred was a desire for God's righteous justice and not personal vengeance.
But we must understand our battle is not with people, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God’s real enemies are of the spiritual realms, not people.
Is it fine to be angry at people who seem to hate God? But it’s the real enemy, Satan and his fallen angels that is controlling them, therefore, it is only God who can deal with them, not us. He said, vengeance is mine (DEUTERONOMY 32:35; ROMANS 12:19).
The bible tells us to love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us, so it is the sin living within them that we must hate, not the person; after all, we are all sinners in need of a saviour.
David asked God to search his heart for sin and point it out, even to the level of testing his thoughts.
How are we to recognise the sin in us unless God reveals it?
We are all sinners, not one of us can deal with it ourselves, so our true enemy is the sin, not the person (see ROMANS 7:15-20).
How can one expect God to wipe away his sin and forsake the sin of others?
How can anyone expect God to forgive them but condemn others when we are all in the same boat, sinners in need of a Saviour?
Jesus said, ““Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Forgiveness, as is repentance, is a condition of salvation.
Un-forgiveness is a sin and we are all called to repent of it, as we are all sin.
That is to turn away from it toward God, and sin no more.
“Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭25‬-‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The Good News is, for all who believe, Jesus dealt with all sin on a cross. He has justified your eternal future; He has made a way where there was no way for all to be saved.
Not by man’s power or abilities, or good deeds, but by the Spirit of our living God by faith based on the finished works of Christ Jesus on a cross.
Jesus paid it all.
Therefore, salvation is not a complicated process and is available to all.
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
