PSALM 107:1-2
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

This Psalm speaks of the many different distressing situations people face and how God has rescued them.
Homeless people lost wandering with no place to live (4-9), they are prisoners physically and spiritually bound, but God breaks every chain and sets them free (10-16).
He rescues even the foolish and distressed (17-20).
“He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!”
Psalms 107:20-21 NKJV
Sadly, our nations are in bondage and need deliverance.
Moses led 600,000 people out of Egypt in the middle of the night (EXODUS 12:37).
God did not lead Moses and the Israelites through enemy land. But rather, He led them through the desert toward the Red Sea as they journeyed to the Promised Land.
God led His people with a pillar of clouds during the day, and a pillar of fire at night. Following these incredible sights would remind them that God was always with them, guiding them each step of the way on their journey. (EXODUS 14).
Just as God wanted to set free His people back then, He wants to set His people free today; He wants to deliver us from the evil one. That is why Jesus tells us to pray, “deliver us from the evil one” (MATHEW 6:13) in the Lord’s prayer.
But the people back then, like the people of today, were full of fear; they had reached the Red Sea and had no where left to run.
Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.””
Exodus 14:11-14 NKJV
No matter how extreme your calimity, no matter how impossible your situation, God is able to help, rescue, and heal. “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,”
Psalms 107:2 NKJV
God made a way for His people back then by splitting the sea so that they could walk right through it. When a miracle is needed, He brings it. He turns seas into highways, graves into gardens, bones into armies (Ezekiel 37).
He protected Daniel from lions (DANIEL 6), “And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, were put into a furnace, and Christ went through the fire with them, and when they came out, they were not hurt, not even smelling of smoke (Daniel 3:19-25).
He empowered David to bring down the biggest of giants with five small stones.(1 SAMUEL 17) of which represent the five fold ministry of Christ today and will bring the miracle you need, to face the lions, or go through the fire, or bring down the giants in your life.
Like Peter, simply by trusting Jesus, you shall walk upon the stormy waters in your life and crush the enemy under your feet. But even if it gets too noisy, or overwhelming, He is right there to lead you to safety and calm the storm (MATHEW 14:22-33).
All you need is five smooth stones, the five fold ministry of Christ, “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”
Romans 16:20 NKJV
But one needs to be free.
Jesus said, “to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.””
John 8:31-32 NKJV
My beloved, Jesus is the truth, the only truth to be relied upon and the only way to our Father in heaven and the freedoms and the protection that comes from Him over every enemy (JOHN 14:6).
“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained. But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. So the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.”
Exodus 14:26-31 NKJV
We live in this world of dictatorship, fear, and all kinds of theories of what’s happening in our world as we watch our financial systems, healthcare, and education systems systematically collapse. We see poverty growing alongside sexual immorality and lawlessness and wars and frets of wars. Furthermore, we are all facing unnecessary rules and restrictions about what we can and can’t do.
This is all by plan, we are nations in captivity. But God is ready to lead us out of captivity through the waters of baptism into His kingdom, the very place the enemy cannot go. The very place you shall have peace.
Therefore take heed of Peters words, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:38-39 NKJV
My brethren, the Lord is telling us, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man as ruler in Israel.’”
II Chronicles 7:14-18 NKJV
If you haven’t already, give your life to Christ today, and go through the waters of baptism onto the road of freedom, peace, and life everlasting.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
