1 TIMOTHY 2:5-7
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying— a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Many people think that there are many ways to God; through people, such as Mary, the local vicar or Pastor, objects, church attendance, religious rituals, works, or good deeds, or by obedience to God’s law.
In practice, each of us may consider the possibility of many bridges across the abyss, but if we are determined to cross, we must choose and commit to one bridge.
Some who insist their are many ways to God, do so to hide their belief that finding God doesn’t really matter at all. Others are convinced that arguing for “many ways to God” will insure that they won’t be wrong. But if there’s only one way, they will assume they have already found it.
They was brought up in one religion by their parents, so it must be right.
The reality is, there are many different religious beliefs, so one must ask himself, what are the odds I was born into the true faith that will secure my eternal future with God?
Whatever one believes, it’s not too difficult to understand that their is consequences for everything we do, both good and evil; and that we humans have been separated from God by sin and are in need of a Saviour-a way across the abyss of sin back to God.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
We can be sure of this statement of Jesus Christ is true because “it is written” in the Holy Scriptures.
Their is but One person in the universe who can stand between us and God and bring us back together again. He is the only Mediator who can bridge the gap-that is our Lord Jesus Christ. He is both fully man and fully God (PHILIPPIANS 2:6-8) and is therefore the only One qualified to take our sin away.
By His sacrifice He paid our debt of sin, and through His resurrection He brought the possibility of new life to all people; an opportunity to start again, bringing death to our old sinful lives, and being “Born Again” into God’s family and receive the gift of life.
One can not purchase salvation, no amount of money can buy a ticket to cross the abyss; neither can one’s status even slightly help. No other person dead or alive has the authority or ability to carry any one across. Furthermore, it is too late for obedience, every single one of us has already blocked that path by sin, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
I John 1:8 NKJV
No religious acts can save you, not church attendance or any good deeds or any other way. Being “nice” is good; their are millions of nice people in this world, but being “nice” cannot bridge the gap.
Only through faith in Christ can anyone bridge the gap that separates us from God. And since Jesus Christ is the coming Judge who will decide your eternal destiny, it makes sense to know Him, and to know Him well.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.””
Romans 10:8-13 NKJV
My brethren, Jesus is the only way, He has all authority over heaven and earth ((MATHEW 28:18), and He will return to bring eternal judgement to all people (MATHEW 25:31-36).
Only by faith can one be saved. Jesus said, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
Mark 16:16 NKJV
My brothers and sisters in Christ, don’t be complacent, for Jesus said in His own words, ““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV
How can one know anyone well without relationship? My brethren, we must make time and effort to know Christ; not simply by listening to others preaching, or singing praises once a week in church. Your praise is worthless if you don’t actually know the One you are praising.
Only through good productive conversation with Him can you really come to know Jesus and enter into relationship with Him. Therefore, be warned, if you do not make the effort to know Him while you have opportunity, He may well refuse to know you when you need Him.
No matter how regularly you attend church, wether preaching, prophecying, or praying for people, or are simply one of the congregation, without relationship with Christ, it is impossible to have faith, and when you go knocking on the gates of heaven, He will say, “I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” We know this is true! Why? Because it is “written”.
It’s time to wake up; it’s not difficult to see our world cannot continue on this path of lies, deceit, and darkness much longer, the end is fast approaching and heaven and hell are real.
Where are you going to spend your eternal future?
Call upon the name of Jesus; ask Him to reveal Himself to you and commit your life to Christ today, for tomorrow may well be too late.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
