Can Anything Ever Seperate Us From Christ Love

We Have Overwhelming Victory Through Christ Who Is Our Strength

ROMANS 8:35-39
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
”‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:35-39‬ ‭NKJV‬

These words were written to a church that was soon to face terrible persecution. In just a few years, Paul's hypothetical situations would become painful realities.
This message reaffirms God profound love for His people.
No matter what happens to us, whatever we face, or wherever we are, we cannot be separated from God's love.
Suffering should not drive us away from God, but help us identify with Him and allow His love to heal us.
Believers have always had to face hardships in many forms: Persecution, illness, imprisonment, and even death. These things can bring fear that we have been abandoned by Christ; but Paul exclaims that it is absolutely impossible to be separated from the love of Christ.
Not even the unseen forces of evil in the universe; forces like Satan and his fallen angels can separate us from God's love (see EPHESIANS 6:12).
In Christ, because of His love, we are super-conquerors and will be protected from such forces, though He allows trials and challenges to teach and change us (see JAMES 1:2-4), and transform us by the renewing of our mind, that we become Christ like in our very nature, knowing what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
These verses give us one of the most comforting promises in all Scripture.
His death is proof of His selfless, unconditional and unconquerable love. As Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Nothing can separate us from God's presence.
God reaffirmed His unfailing love so that we will feel totally secure in Him.
If we believe these overwhelming assurances, we will not be afraid even when facing death itself, for Christ gave each and every one of us the victory over death when God raised Him from the dead.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:31-39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever. Amen.
